Hikvision launches cable-free video security products

Hikvision has unveiled a new range of video security products which break the traditional limitations of cables.

The new series includes four products:

• The EasyLink Wi-Fi Kit ensures secure data and device synergy
• The EasyLink PLC (Power Line Communication) Kit leverages existing power lines for stable connectivity
• The AOV (always-on-video) Solar Camera delivers low-power consumption recording
• The 4G Camera delivers wireless video protection in outdoor areas

EasyLink Wi-Fi Kit: Safe storage, easy linkage

The EasyLink Wi-Fi Kit supports Wi-Fi 6 technology. Hikvision states that this delivers faster and more stable wireless connections which significantly reduce latency and buffering.

Secure, centralised storage is provided with dedicated network video storage (NVS) and it supports up to a 512 GB SD card capacity.

Users can add devices with ease by scanning the code on the NVS using the Hik-Connect app, without scanning the code for each camera.

Even if users change routers, they can connect to the network in real time without any configuration.

The company highlights that this wireless connectivity, coupled with its stable performance, makes the EasyLink Wi-Fi Kit ideal for many small and medium sized businesses that need reliable video protection in various indoor and short-range scenarios such as:

EasyLink PLC Kit

The EasyLink PLC Kit provides a complete solution, including PLC cameras and a PLC NVS.

To maintain uninterrupted image quality and eliminate signal loss, it uses existing electrical wiring to communicate stable video transmissions.

This makes it ideal for supporting reliable 24/7 security operations in duplex villas and large commercial spaces.

Shaped like a lamp, the Lamp Camera integrates outdoor lighting with intelligent video protection, enhancing both security and aesthetic harmony in residential courtyards or commercial spaces, the company adds.

As with the EasyLink Wi-Fi Kit, setup and installation of the EasyLink PLC Kit devices is effortless.

After connecting the PLC cameras and NVS to the main circuit, users can add devices instantly by scanning the code on the NVS using the Hik-Connect app, without scanning the code for each camera.

AOV Solar Camera

The new AOV Solar Camera provides 24/7 continuous video recording for uninterrupted security coverage in remote locations.

Its ultra-low power consumption significantly reduces energy costs and ensures long-term operation.

The new camera is equipped with AI-powered Motion Detection 2.0 technology. This is more accurate for recognising people or vehicles than traditional PIR + Radar systems, minimising false alarms.

The AOV Solar Camera features a lightweight design which enables it to be installed by a single person.

Hikvision highlights that complex wiring requirements are eliminated entirely, allowing the camera to be deployed quickly, saving both time and labor resources.

The AOV Solar Camera is suitable for outdoor, remote or infrastructure-limited environments such as forests, grasslands, highways, outdoor areas or temporary construction sites.

4G Camera

The new 4G Camera is designed to provide security in places that have power but no network, including remote agricultural areas such as orchards and coffee plantations.

It uses 4G connectivity to transmit real-time video streams.

With real-time protection via 4G connectivity, the 4G camera can be rapidly deployed to provide users with immediate visibility into zones, allowing swift response to potential threats.

It features AI-driven motion detection which minimises false alarms in dynamic outdoor settings to ensure reliable, cost-effective protection.
