ASELSAN has announced its official opening of its Indonesia office at INDODEFENCE in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The company states that the new office will strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia through collaborations in the fields of joint development , joint production and global supply chain integration.

Agreements

ASELSAN highlights that it has signed five agreements at INDODEFENCE that will increase its influence in the Indonesian defense ecosystem.

The agreements were signed during the exhibition in the presence of senior officials from both the Indonesian and Turkish defense industries, underlining the strategic importance of these partnerships.

The agreement with PT LEN Industri covers technology transfer and co-production in radar, surveillance, cybersecurity as well as command and control systems through DEFEND ID.

Joint opportunities

ASELSAN notes that the cooperation with Czech CSG Group centers on joint opportunities while the teaming agreement with Czech Excalibur Army focuses on the integration of ASELSAN systems on Excalibur Army’s PATRIOT 4×4 Vehicles in Indonesia.

The agreement with PT PINDAD covers joint development of weapon systems, guidance and fire control technologies.

Lastly, the cooperation with PT PAL focuses on modernisation and new platform development.

Indonesian office opening

The company states that to support these strategic collaborations and continue its growth in the region, ASELSAN officially opened its Indonesia office during the exhibition.

The office will serve as a hub for direct engagement, custom solution development and long-term maintenance.

The opening ceremony was attended by Prof Dr Haluk Görgün, Secretary of Turkish Defence Industries, Ahmet Akyol, ASELSAN President and CEO, and esteemed guests from the industry.

Ahmet Akyol stated: “We are proud to bring advanced capabilities and reliable cooperation to an important strategic market with our new office in Jakarta.

“Through our deepening ties in the region, ASELSAN Indonesia will serve as a direct link to local partners and support sustainable, high-impact cooperation through on-site services,” he added.

Prof Dr Haluk Görgün commented on the official opening of ASELSAN Indonesia office: “It is a great honor to witness the opening of ASELSAN’s Jakarta office alongside the signing of strategic agreements that strengthen our defense partnership in the region.

Görgün concluded: “I believe this office will build bridges of technology, knowledge and friendship between our nations, leading to a prosperous and auspicious future for both countries as well as new achievements in defense industry.”
