HSS Falcon
At ISE, Apstec highlights that it will feature its flagship product, HSS Falcon, the AI-driven solution that provides detection of explosives, weapons and narcotics on people and in body-worn/hand-carried bags.
In contrast to walk-through metal detectors and weapon detection systems, HSS Falcon is not dependant on metallic content to detect threats such as low metallic or non-metallic IEDs.
New metal detection capability
Apstec says that it will also unveil its new high-throughput, discriminative metal detection capability that accurately distinguishes between metallic threats and everyday items, providing increased detection accuracy with reduced false alert rates.
These solutions will be on display on booth C60 for live demonstrations.
According to Apstec, the proven millimeter-wave detection of HSS Falcon combined with Apstec’s new Discriminative Metal Detection capability deployed in a back-to-back configuration, sets a new standard in AI-driven, high-throughput, non-invasive screening of people and their belongings.
“A fantastic platform”
Niclas Gustafsson, Group CEO and Chief Commercial Officer, Apstec Systems commented: “We are delighted to be showcasing our latest innovations and giving visitors the opportunity to experience the future of security screening at ISE.
“ISE provides us with a fantastic platform to engage with customers, partners and the wider industry,” he concluded.
Suitability and benefits
According to the company, the benefits of a comprehensive screening solution able to non-invasively screen large numbers of people and their bags for a wide range of threats in real time without having to stop and divest are manifold, not least of which is a premium screening experience.
The high-throughput, walk-through solution moves people through the screening process much faster and with far less disruption than traditional screening methods.
It is simple to operate, fits smoothly into the screening process, has a compact footprint and an attractive look and feel.
Apstec adds that the solution is cost-effective, easy to deploy and suitable for multiple customer applications, indoor/outdoor use, as well as rapid relocation.
